Akisha S. Jefferson is a dynamic workforce development leader and job creator with a proven track record of successfully placing thousands of individuals—youth, adults, those facing unemployment or disengagement from education, marginalized groups, people with disabilities, and individuals with criminal records—into meaningful employment opportunities. Known as "The Job Coach" and the DMV’s Employment Matchmaker, Akisha is a recognized leader in staffing and recruitment, using her expertise and passion to drive positive change in the workforce. With a Bachelor of Arts from Bowie State University and a master’s degree from Howard University, Akisha combines her strong academic foundation with strategic insights to deliver unparalleled results.

The Job Coach’s affiliate company, Friends & Staffing, serves as its full-service staffing agency, providing tailored workforce solutions to meet the unique needs of businesses and job seekers. Before founding The Job Coach, Akisha was the owner and managing partner of Greene and Vaden, LLP, doing business as Maid Pro of Capitol Hill, where she employed 35 full-time staff members and serviced over 1,500 clients annually across Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia.

Passionate about financial empowerment and supporting others in realizing their worth, Akisha also serves as the president of NG Investment Group, LLC, where she shares her knowledge and expertise on building wealth.

With a deep understanding of labor market trends and hiring practices, Akisha has forged strong relationships with hundreds of companies, offering valuable guidance in staffing, team building, and workforce development. Her exceptional business acumen has earned her recognition as a sought-after leader, coach, and mentor for entrepreneurs looking to grow and succeed.

In addition to her professional endeavors, Akisha is deeply committed to her faith and community. A proud Prince George’s County, Maryland native, she is the founder and pastor of First Sundays, an innovative, 90-minute worship service held on the first Sunday of each month. The mission of First Sundays is to renew, recharge, and reconnect individuals’ minds, hearts, and spirits to Jesus through worship, fellowship, love, and the word of God.
